Welcome to Energy Industries

January 1, 2005 - Topa Financial Center - Downtown Honolulu

The Topa Financial Center is centrally located in Downtown Honolulu. As one of the few Class-A office properties available in Honolulu Topa is home to some of the largest and most powerful businesses in Hawaii. This property features two Class-A 20 story high rise office towers with a total 483,776 rentable square feet. Originally built in 1969 and 1971, the towers were state of the art for the time.

In 2005, Energy Industries (EI) began working with property Chief Engineer Rory Reiley to develop a project which would include the full lighting retrofit of all areas within both towers. For the project EI ordered and installed over 11,000 Ultramax Ballasts and 45,000 F28 lamps from Graybar in the property and completed the retrofit over a 2 month period. With the project complete Topa Financial Center of Honolulu is well on its way to saving over $93,000 annually in energy costs.

Due to the efforts from the comprehensive lighting retrofit the Topa Financial Center in downtown Honolulu has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Agency as an Energy Star Building. The Energy Star label is an award recognizing the most energy-efficient buildings in the nation.
