Energy Industries and Keep America Beautiful Teamed Up to Tackle Trash and Beautify Ala Moana Beach Park!

HONOLULU, HI – On April 28th, 2007, Energy Industries and Keep America Beautiful kicked off its Great America Cleanup efforts. Fifteen dedicated employees from Energy Industries and their families woke up bright and early to help pick up litter and debris all along the “Jetty” beach front area at the Ala Moana Beach Park.

For years, Energy Industries have been giving back to the Community in various ways. Regional General Manager, Van Matsushige said “time spent in the community helps to bring team unity and comradely for the employees within the organization”. For 2007, Energy Industries is planning on dedicating their time and service to a minimum of three Community Service projects.

“We appreciate and thank Energy Industries and their family members in helping to keep our beaches clean and taking the time to help give back to the Community”, said Clint Jamile, the City and County of Honolulu Park Program Coordinator.

Keep America Beautiful, Inc., established in 1953, is the nation's largest volunteer-based community action and education organization. This national nonprofit forms public-private partnerships and programs that engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community's environment. Keep America Beautiful works with national sponsors and local community-based organizations helping to initiate beautification and initiatives programs.
