Energy Industries, General Electric and the United Way illuminate the Spokane Center Pointe – efficiently!

SPOKANE, WA – Energy Industries announced today that it has partnered with General Electric to donate a full energy efficient lighting system to the United Way’s Center Pointe Spokane facility. The donated system has a retail value of over $12,000 and also received a $2,500 utility grant. In addition to the donation, the system will generate a savings of $3,000 annually and is a 50% reduction in lighting energy!

“Helping an outstanding organization that helps our community is the right thing to do” said Jay Filer, Regional Vice President of Energy Industries. “On behalf of the 35 energetic Energy Industries employees and their families, who turned out to make this happen, we applaud the efforts of the United Way’s Center Pointe and we thank them for their commitment to our Spokane community” said Mr. Filer.

Center Pointe provides recreational socialization and educational opportunities for people with disabilities. Center Pointe has been in existence since 1953 and amazingly has managed to stay in business with no state or federal funding. They operate exclusively through donations and acts of charity.
